lyrics:

These are the days.

These are days you’ll remember.
Never before and never since, I promise, will the whole world be warm as this.
And as you feel it, you’ll know it’s true that you are blessed and lucky.
It’s true that you are touched by something that will grow and bloom in you.

These are days you’ll remember.
When May is rushing over you with desire to be part of the miracles you see in
Every hour.
You’ll know it’s true that you are blessed and lucky.
It’s true that you are touched by something that will grow and bloom in you.

These are days.

These are the days you might fill with laughter until you break.
These days you might feel a shaft of light make its way across your face.
And when you do you’ll know how it was meant to be.
See the signs and know their meaning.
It’s true, you’ll know how it was meant to be.
Hear the signs and know they’re speaking to you, to you.

10,000 Maniacs These Are Days Song Review:

When I listen to this song, I feel happy, relaxed, and joyful. It reminds me of the wonderful sunny days of my childhood when everything was new, fun, and innocent/carefree. It reminds me of how when I was little I felt the wonderfulness residing in me and knew that it would always be there no matter what I went through.

This song is about appreciating life for what it is not what you have or are going through. It tells people to look deep within themselves and there you will find rue happiness that has always and always will reside in you. It helps people remember that life is just a short experience we are blessed and lucky to be able to experience and that when it is all gone, all that you will have are your memories, so make them good and rejoice in the now.

When we are connected with our inner-self we are also connected with everything that is, so we appreciate more and we recognize the good more. We recognize miracles for what they are and we wish to help other discover miracles in their life by becoming joyful and connecting with their inner source.

When you are connected with your inner source you also understand the purpose of life and why you in particular are here. You begin to realize that everything happens for a reason; when you are sad – sad things will happen to you, but when you are happy – things that make you happy will happen to you. We are only here to experience, that is all that we can do, so why not make it wonderful and worth remembering?

When you are truly happy you can hear your inner voice of higher knowledge guiding you to where you are meant to be and to do what you are meant to do in your time in this life.

After listening to The song from 10,000 ManiacsThese Are Days and reviewing the lyrics I’m pulled to believe it’s one of those songs where it truly touches your heart in a way that is totally unique to the individual listening to it. Is is positive? Absolutely. I believe it’s touching towards being absorbed by the good and positive in all things you are experiencing in your life right now. Could it be more straight forward in their lyrical composition? Sure. But I believe the reason this song hits so well is because it’s an individual experience. 10,000 Maniacs‘ song – These Are Days reviewed as a musical experience is rather basic but in no way does it hinder the purpose of the song, it is very upbeat with catchy bass beats and some slight FX piano added depending on which version you are listening too.

To further break down this song, I find that it’s obviously a higher self aspect. Meaning that instead of choosing to see the world in a ill fate you see that everything is possible, everything you are experiencing is leading towards something wonderful that will occur in your life as long as your able to hold on the wonderful times. Which is right now. If one was to believe that the world and the people inside it have a choice to walk the world of negativity or see the light of the positive you would say that this song has most of the bases covered.

Want a wonderful life, see it wonderful, hold it as long as you can. Talk about it to others see it in every circumstance that comes your way, be it “bad” or “good”. Everyone is getting exactly what they are focusing on. This is the reason this song is a prime song to have in your positive lunch box. 10,000 ManiacsThese Are Days is far from being the most positive song around, but it holds true no matter what mood your in. In fact I’d say listening to These Are Days will refocus your intention to find the good. Which as I said before will create a good and happy life.

How funny, how music can shape the world around us. Literally and physically music can heal or it can kill. On behalf of positive music myself I fully believe that 10,000 ManiacsThere Are Days has surpassed the bar in positive nature and is good for any audience of any type!

About 10,000 Maniacs:

10,000 Maniacs is a United States-based alternative rock band, which formed in 1981 and continues to be active with various line-ups.The band was formed as Still Life in 1981 in Jamestown, New York, by Dennis Drew (keyboards), Steven Gustafson (bass), Chet Cardinale (drums), Robert Buck (guitar), and Teri Newhouse (vocalist and Buck’s ex-wife). Gustafson invited Natalie Merchant, who was 17 at the time, to do some vocals. John Lombardo, who was in a band called The Mills (along with brother guitarist/vocalists Mark Liuzzo and Paul Liuzzo and drummer Mike Young) and used to play occasionally with Still Life, was invited to join permanently on guitar and vocals. Newhouse and Cardinale left the band in July, and Merchant became the main singer. Various drummers came and left. The band changed its name to Burn Victims and then to 10,000 Maniacs after the low-budget horror movie Two Thousand Maniacs!. They performed as 10,000 Maniacs for the first time on Labor Day, September 7, 1981, with a line-up of Merchant, Lombardo, Buck, Drew, Gustafson, and Tim Edborg on drums. Edborg left and Bob “Bob O Matic” Wachter was on drums for most of the 1981 gigs. Tired of playing cover songs—though their first notable American hit was found in covering the Cat Stevens hit “Peace Train“—the band started to write their own music, usually with Merchant handling the lyrics and Lombardo the music.
